Yes, you can send any pictures, but... we need to be able to work on them effectively and sometimes the quality is just not high enough.
Generally, the image should be crisp and clear. We usually 'cut out' an image from the background, so if half of a person is missing, especially an image that's cropped through the head, then this makes the picture a bad choice. So please look for images that you could imagine being 'cut out'.
Many people don't realise that screen grabs and images taken from social media are very low resolution (quality) to make using the internet faster. However, we need good quality where possible, so always try and source the original image instead. Perhaps it was taken on your phone, so please check there.
If it's wedding pictures and you have the original pictures in an online album, please tell us how we can access them for you to ensure the best quality. Just please avoid the screengrabs!
If you can avoid sending images that have been heavily filtered, this would also be very helpful. Most important are clear and unobscured faces.
Yes you can, but you'll need to do a little work first. We need digital versions of your snaps, so the best way to achieve this is to photograph them and then email the digital versions to us. You can use your mobile phone camera to do this.
You need to ensure the snaps are flat and well lit and photograph them straight on, not an angle. Daylight would be best. If your prints are glossy, this is a hard one, because they become like mirrors.
If you're really struggling, we would suggest asking someone who is good with a camera to help you out. Alternatively, the images can be scanned into a computer and then the results should be perfect. There are lots of places on the high street that offer this service.
We ask you to allow our highly skilled artist to create a look and composition that will suit your images. If, however, there is a very specific look you want, then please tell us any relevant requests when ordering and sending your images.
If you want anything removing, people putting together, items fixing or changing... this is fine, but you must tell us beforehand. We do allow one change for free if something is wrong, but additional changes will be charged.
Don't worry, everyone loves their work and the finished result will be beautiful and special for you.
In a word... no. Unlike buying something that can be resold, our work is highly individualistic and personalised. Many hours go into creating your artwork and once you have committed to proceeding, we put the hard work in, so cannot offer a refund afterwards. As mentioned previously, you can have one change made at no cost, but additional changes will incur additional cost. We will advise you depending on how many aspects you would want changing.
